Kajal Agarwal was born in Chennai and later on moved to Mumbai in order to make her dreams of becoming an actress come true. So, was it difficult to act in Telugu? ``Not really. Having a theatre background, language was never a barrier for me. More so because we are acting and that requires us to emote and portray a character.

I write my dialogues in English. But if you work with professionals, then it makes life easy. Also, I am good at picking up languages.

So, it was not really difficult to pick up my lines.’’ These days there is no escaping glamour for a heroine. What is your take on glamour or skin show? It all depends upon how you see it. The idea of glamour is totally different from skin show. For me, it is not all about shedding clothes. It is about enhancing beauty. You can be glamorous even when you are wearing a full-sleeved shirt. So would she be comfortable wearing a swimsuit? I will not be comfortable with the idea of wearing a bikini because not everyone can carry it with aplomb. One has to be comfortable with one’s body; only then things do magic on screen,’’ she says.

What’s her preference when it comes to dressing up? I am extremely comfortable with my body. I think I have a very flexible body that can carry off any costume. I love to wear saris according to my mood and occasion.



What are the factors Kajal considers while accepting a film? The points I consider while accepting a film - good script, director and of course my co-stars. With big banner projects opposite Allu Arjun, Ram Charan Teja, the actress hints that she’s here to stay. Currently I am busy shooting for a film opposite Ram Charan apart from Arya 2 with Allu Arjun. Her Tamil film, Aatadista, with Nitin will be releasing in the first week of June. Her film, Magadheera, with Ram Charan Teja is releasing in the first week of June. `` I am playing the role of a fashion designer in the first half and the role of a princess in the second half of the movie,’’ says Kajal.

Did she get trained in acting or dancing or in any other aspect of filmmaking? No, I have no formal training in acting. But I did learn dancing,’’ she says.

The audio of producer-distributer Allu Arvind's Ram Charan Teja starrer Magadheera, directed by S.S. Rajamouli, was released in a grand function at Shilpa Kala Vedika on June 28.

Megastar Chiranjeevi gave the first audio cassettes to C. Aswini Dutt, K. Raghavendra Rao and D. Rama Naidu. Pawan Kalyan gave the first audio CDs to Srihari, Allu Arjun and Srikanth.

Nagababu, Allu Arvind, Bhogavalli Prasad, Dil Raju, D.V.V. Danayya, C Kalyan, M.L. Kumar Chowdary, Ashok Kumar, Seenu Vytla, Muruga Doss, Meher Ramesh, Surender Reddy, Krish, Dr. Venkateswara Rao, Subhash, Chandra Bose, Jayadev, Ravi Teja, Sunil, Ali, Siva Reddy, Rajamouli, M.M. Keeravani, Rama Rajamouli, Santhi, Senthi, Ravinder, Paruchuri Venkateswra Rao, Chinni Krishna, Devi Vara Prasad, Ram Charan Teja and Kajal Aggarwal attended the function. The music is marketed by Aditya Music.

Chiranjeevi said: "I did a film titled Magadheerudu in the past and it is just a coincidence that the Magadheera title was chosen for this movie. Keeravani is a highly talented music director and a thorough hard worker. Charan Teja did terrific steps in this movie and I also appear in the song for a few seconds. It’s been a long time since a movie based on rebirths is made in Telugu. Magadheera is like a visual poetry. I felt jealous after watching Charan’s acting in this movie."

Ram Charan Teja said: "I am upset because Magadheera got delayed. But I am happy since it has turned out to be really good film. Telugu people are going to be proud of it. I like Keeravani’s music a lot and he is very good at melody. Lots of people think that Magadheera is a pouranikam, but it is a love story with action backdrop." S.S. Rajamouli and Pawan Kalyan also spoke at the function. Magadheera will grace the screens in July.
